Jamie Cliffe has a diverse and varied career in both Petrochem and training and consultancy. Before running his own international consultancies, he had a successful career with Mobil and BP downstream retail, spanning over 20 years. The latter 7 years being a training manager for BP responsible for over 7000 people.
In 2003, he set up his first UK based training business to provide a suite of courses to the petroleum industry and his company SMTS, soon became industry leaders in its field. This led to expansion into India, Turkey and predominately Sub-Saharan Africa, which became the company’s nucleus for growth.
Jamie has grown a considerable portfolio of clients in Africa, both in private and public sector and has become well known in his circles for delivering Health and Safety services to some worlds best recognised organisations. As a trusted and well-travelled figure across the continent, this has led to Jamie expanding his portfolio and he now consults for a number of blue chip companies who have a footprint in South Africa.
His areas of expertise are all things Downstream Petroleum Retail, in particular HSSE supply chain management, wet stock management and asbestos management and control.
